Gum Boot Dance
The Gum Boot dance (or Isicathulo) is an African dance
performed by people wearing gum boots.
Gum Boot dancing was started by miners. They used certain moves to communicate with the other miners
because they weren't allowed to talk when they were mining
and the other miners usually spoke different languages
so they would do a certain move with their boots
to tell them something.
