Ugali is similar to Ambuyat which is a bruneian dish the difference is Ambuyat is not as stiff as Ugali also Ambuyat is made from sago palm. Ambuyat does not have much flavor, but you do eat it with sauces and stews like you do with Ugali.
Duckling Dar es Salaam is a traditional Tanzanian recipe for duckling stew with a curry based stock with tomatoes. The recipe is here:
Ingredients: 200g onions, finely chopped
200g tomatoes, cut into small dice
1 tsp salt
1 tsp curry powder
1/2 tsp chilli flakes
4 tbsp oil
2.5kg duckling cut into 12 pieces
2l water
6 slightly green plantains, sliced
Fry the onions, tomatoes, salt, curry powder and chilli flakes in the oil until the onions are soft then add the duckling pieces and fry for 3 minutes, or until the duckling begins to brown. Add the water, cover and simmer for 30 minutes until the duckling is soft. Add the plantains and simmer for 20 additional minutes. Best served on a large platter.

I would say that Chicken Curry is similar to Duckling Dar Es Salaam but
Chicken Curry is spicier than it,
and a portion would be more than a portion of Duckling Dar Es Salaam.
